Chauncey G. Allen, Sr. 94 of Kearneysville, went home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2016 at his home. Born January 19, 1922, he was the son of the late Helen Allen Bradford and Harvey Allen. Chauncey was a WW II Veteran. He was employed by the VA Medical Center for a number of years. He also worked part time for Omni Direct Mail and the Kearneysville Post Office for about five years. He was a deacon at St. Paul Baptist Church in Kearneysville. He is survived by two sons: Chauncey Allen, Jr. and Anthony Allen and wife, Heather; one daughter, Carol Winston and husband, Brian; a dear nephew, Rev. Lewis Allen; godson, Evelyn Black; 8 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Allen; one son; one grandson; one nephew; and two nieces. Friends will be received on Saturday from 11am until the time of the funeral service at noon at Rosedale Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
